This is a picture of the Drexel Park station and of the trolley on the trolley line near the house. The trolley goes into Philadelphia and further out into the suburbs.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) provides public transportation services in Bucks, Chester, Delaware (the location of the house), Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties, along with selected rail service to the State of New Jersey and Delaware.
SEPTA is one of only two truly multi-modal transit properties in the United States (Boston is the other) with bus, subway, high speed rail, trackless trolley, Regional Rail and Para-transit vehicles. In Delaware County alone, there are 2,613 stops that include bus, light rail, subway-elevated, and regional rail service.
